This extraordinary rose is named in celebration of the St Dominic’s School for Girls Centenary in 2023. The bush bursts with stems covered in lush, deep green leaves that produce long lasting blooms of a unique deep magenta red colour. As the bud evolves, its hundred, narrow, very firm petals slowly unfold into a quartered rosette form revealing its rose heart. In the open stages the petals start showing off a distinct white veining on their underside. This rose is a beautiful representation of the school’s dictum: One School. One Family. One Spirit. It will stand proud in the gardens of the families connected to the school and each bloom will be a reminder of what a pivotal role this special place of learning plays in their lives.
