Long, strong canes are produced in the first months after planting and these may be trailed over an arch, it may form a natural hedge or superb large specimen. Soon thereafter shapely golden buds appear on side-stems or in huge candelabra-type clusters.
These will slowly unfold into attractive hybrid tea star-shaped, medium-sized blooms. In the opening flowers, a much deeper line of old gold, copper-bronze is revealed. Covered with flowers in spring, this colour splash will continue into autumn.
