This is what Sam McGredy, its creator, writes of this variety. “ I very, very rarely pick a rose on first sight and say ‘that’s a winner’. However, there was little doubt about ‘Tess’ as the plant was just so big, healthy and robust compared to any other variety in the paddock”.

The rose is old fashioned in style, as the flowers normally quarter when they open and it resembles the current crop of new/old roses’. The colour is a lively cream apricot.
