Eternal Light is an Antico Moderno rose that lives up to its name, glowing softly in the garden from the first bloom to the last. This distinguished shrub rose forms a graceful, well-balanced plant, crowned with exceptionally large, richly filled flowers that boast with intriguing wavy petals.
The blooms open into deep, cupped rosettes, their many undulating petals arranged with an almost sculptural precision. The colouring begins as a gentle creamy-apricot and deepens subtly at the heart, as though lit from within—an effect that gives the rose its sense of quiet radiance.
Its perfume is powerful and nostalgic, weaving together the classic depth of old rose with the fresh, luminous notes of lily of the valley. Each flower seems to carry its own presence, lingering long after the eye has moved on.
Set against glossy, healthy green foliage, the pale blooms appear even more luminous, creating a striking yet harmonious contrast. Eternal Light is a generous and reliable repeat-flowering variety, performing steadily throughout the season. Its excellent disease resistance and strong drought tolerance make it a dependable choice for both experienced rose growers and those new to gardening.
At maturity, this rose reaches between hip and shoulder height, with a neat average spread of around 60 cm. It is ideally suited to beds, borders, or as a standalone feature where its form and colour can be fully appreciated. For best results, plant at 80 cm spacing to ensure good air circulation.
Eternal Light thrives in fertile, well-prepared soil enriched with organic matter, rewarding good cultivation with vigour, health, and a lasting display—an enduring presence of beauty and brightness in the garden.
