Thuli Madonsela is a woman of great character, a woman who for South Africa symbolises what the Lady Justice stands for. The people voted for this rose. With this rose we honour all who take a stand for what is morally correct, we honor Prof. Madonsela for her achievements and give her the nobility of the rose to continue her pursuits.
This novel rose is a Stamina rose that is vigorous, with strong roots, and disease-resistant leaves, able to thrive despite climatic stresses – just like her name sake. The striking two-tone pink and white blooms have a perfect hybrid tea shape, but carried in abundant clusters. The colour is prominent, feminine pink, white for purity.
She grows to chest / shoulder height and can be grown in pots, as a bedding rose or as a focal specimen.
A portion of sales is donated to ThuMa foundation, founded by Advocate Madonsela in 2017 as a public benefit organisation to deepen and defend democracy and the rule of law through people empowerment for ethical leadership, development and peace.
