Named for beloved South African singer and storyteller Zolani Mahola – “The One Who Sings” – this joyful rose reflects her connection with nature, motherhood, creativity and new life.
A compact, neat-growing Floribunda, Zolani flowers abundantly in clusters of vibrant magenta-purple, semi-double blooms with a moderate fragrance, each opening to reveal a glowing heart of golden stamens. These open centres make the flowers wonderfully inviting to bees and other pollinators. Healthy, glossy green foliage complements the striking blooms.
After flowering, attractive rose hips develop, completing the natural cycle from flower to fruit. Zolani beautifully symbolises nurture, nature and fruitfulness – giving generously to life and carrying within it the promise of the next generation.
