As we chatted in the bus on our recent rose tour of  Cape rose gardens, suddenly it was said: “Ludwig, we must have a rose named ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’!’’ – and I knew just which rose to chose. A trial variety from Kordes stood out, with its huge 50 petalled blooms of a colour difficult to describe. It is a powerful rose that has ‘Papa Meilland’ in its genes. The bush is tall growing with each bloom carried on a long stem. Let it surprise you!
