The rosette-formed, medium-sized neat flowers are held in small dense sprays on the end of arching canes. The colour is a superb rich wine-crimson, slowly turning to rich purple.

The vigorous and healthy plants grow to about 2m in height and arch admirably.
They may be used as free-standing specimen plants.

The flowers are scented with an Old Rose fragrance and are borne on the ends of each cane and on the many side stems throughout the season.
