Description
‘The Fairy’ arrived on the gardening scene eighty years ago & is still popular all over the world. A cross between the flat growing Wichuriana rambler & compact, very free flowering Polyantha.
It is impervious to fungus diseases & it produces sprays of light pink, small semi double, firm petaled flowers throughout summer into winter. It has a spreading growth habit producing fresh flower sprays from the base.
This neat shrub-let will not grow much more than knee height with its flower spikes spreading out and arching over pots or wall edgings.
‘Fairy Queen’ is a distinct clear pink clone of ‘The Fairy’.
