Ground hugging, glossy, lush growth spreads out from the centre of the bush, quickly branching out with flowering side stems. Covers area of about 1m². Permanently covered with most charming blooms. Old blooms drop petals without fading. In shrubbery borders it will rival other annuals.

‘Playmate’ is a perfect rose for children, as well as the “child” in every rose lover. It produces a profusion of minute, perfectly formed golden apricot blooms with a light fragrance. The growth habit is bushy with glossy green leaves. It grows to a height of 0.6 m to 1 metre.
The blooms are very pickable and the stems are almost thornless, so they can easily be handled by children. It is easy to grow, and doesn’t need to be sprayed for disease or leaf drop. ‘Playmate’ is suitable for growing in containers or in the garden, either massed in a bed or as a colourful, eye-catching border.
It is ideal for children between the ages of 6 to 10 who can grow the rose with their parents and pick the blooms to present to granny, the teacher or their best friends.

A super little cushion rose which produces semi-double, pink flowers on prostrate, fan-like growing stems all season long. It will perform in any sunny situation with little care but watering and occasional trimming.
Colours: Pale pink , Pink
Full, double blooms are produced all along procumbent growing stems. Crimson red in colour, extremely vigorous canes start shooting from the base of the plant in all directions, remaining horizontal and hugging the ground.
As these canes exceed 1m in length, many side-stems with small clusters of flowers appear which enable the plant to cover a space of 4m² with dense growth. Foliage is glossy green and very healthy, provided it can grow in full sun. Planted as groundcovers they should be spaced about 2m apart.

This very compact yet free flowering rose covers itself with stunning single blooms in bright red colour with a white “eye”. It is a perfect companion to the well-known ‘Gnome World’.
To create a neat, 30cm high border space the plants about 50cm apart. They may be trimmed lightly after a flowering splash, which avoids the setting of hips.

Imagine a large cushion embroidered with fluffy, double rose blooms of a deep salmon colouring & you will know that this is ‘Salmon Sunsation’. Maintenance-free. Suitable for borders, slopes & containers.
I looked at this rose in our fields & thought – simply charming. The combination of the single petalled blooms with prominent stamens, the colouring of a pleasing soft pink rises from a cream eye, slowly intensifying into a much deeper lively coral, is unique.
Shrublike growth, so prune lightly. It requires minimum grooming. Continous large clusters.
This chinensis rose has been grown in Europe since 1790. Typical of a chinensis rose it is impervious to black spot disease, flowering non-stop & is evergreen in moderate climates.
The buds are pointed & slender, opening to double blooms in dense clusters. A cherry-red turning to purple when ageing. The bush has a neat, upright growth habit.
Another of the Bermuda mystery roses from China with similar characteristics as described for Vincent Godsiff. The seven, white eyed petals of each open bloom sparkle in a red blend. They too are borne in huge clusters and the shrubs are easily maintained and may be trimmed to keep in a desired shape and height.
This is one of the few times that a bush sported from a climber – it is usually the other way around. Bred from the old favourite ‘Tausendschön’, this rose is extremely hardy & is covered with – as the name suggests – pure white, semi-double flowers. It is also completely without prickles.
